Dr. Cynthia L. Beauchamp, MA, MD
Pediatric Ophthalmologist and Strabismologist
Dr. Cynthia L. Beauchamp is a board certified ophthalmologist, joined Pediatric Ophthalmology, PA and the Center for Adult Strabismus in August 2008 after completing a Fellowship in Pediatric Ophthalmology & Strabismus at the University of Texas Southwestern and Children’s Medical Center of Dallas and Residency in Ophthalmology at the University of Texas Southwestern. She received her MD from Northwestern University Medical Center in Chicago, where she was elected to the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society in her junior year. Dr. Beauchamp received both Bachelors and Masters Degrees in Organizational Behavior from Stanford University in Palo Alto, CA.
Dr. Beauchamp has authored several articles in referenced medical literature and a chapter in a major ophthalmology reference book. She continues her activities in clinical research as the principal investigator in the practice for the Pediatric Eye Disease Investigator Group and with ongoing projects in strabismus care and value analysis. Dr. Cynthia L. Beauchamp has been honored in D Magazine’s listing of Best Pediatric Specialists three years in a row. She serves on the executive council for the Texas Ophthalmology Association and is a member of the American Association for Pediatric Ophthalmology and Strabismus, Dallas County Medical Society, Texas Medical Association and the American Academy of Pediatrics. She has served as an associate examiner for the American Board of Ophthalmology. Prime among her interests are the time spent with and the varied activities of her three sons: Kyle, Chase and Finnley.
